Hasaacas Ladies defeated Guinean side Malabo Kings 3-1 in the opening group game of the CAF Women’s Champions League in Egypt.

A brace from Evelyn Badu and a beautiful strike from Perpetual Agyakum propel Hasaacas Ladies to a good start to the tournament.

The Ghanaian Champions had a  good start to the game and immediately took the lead on the 13th minute, midfielder Evelyn Badu capitalized from a miscommunication at the back to give Hasaacas Ladies the lead.

Hasaacas Ladies kept pushing for the second as the Guineans struggled to find their feat.

Doris Boaduwaa had a golden opportunity to double Hasaacas Ladies lead but her feeble shot was saved by the goalkeeper.

Despite having more of the ball Hasaacas Ladies couldn’t get the second until the blast of the first half whistle.

After the break, Malabo Kings came stronger looking to restore parity.

Grace Banwa made a good save to deny the Guineans.

Jafaru Rahmatu thought she had doubled Hasaacas lead with a good header in the Penalty box but goal was cancelled for an offside.

Substitute Perpetual Agyakum doubled Hasaacas Ladies lead scoring direct from a corner kick to make it 2-0.

Stephenie reduced the deficit for Malabo Kings in the added time after Hasaacas Ladies failed to clear a corner in the penalty box.

Evelyn Badu calm the nerves of the Ghanaian side with her second of the day to put the game beyond the reach of the Guineans.

Hasaacas Ladies will face Malians side AS Mande on Monday.

The Malians earlier in the day lost 3-1 to Wadi Degla in the tournament opener.
