Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac has announced his 28-man squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers this month.
The Serbian trainer handed maiden senior call-ups to AS Roma youngster Felix Afena-Gyan and Sheriff Tiraspol’s Edmund Addo following his impressive performances in the ongoing UEFA Champions League and Moldovan League.
Milo named four home based players including Richard Attah (Hearts of Oak), Philemon Baffour (Dreams FC), Ismail Ganiyu (Asante Kotoko) and Fatawu Issahaku (Dreams FC).
The list also sees the return of veteran midfielder Mubarak Wakaso and striker Richmond Boakye Yiadom.
The Black Stars will face Ethiopia in the penultimate game of Group G at the Orlando stadium in Johannesburg on Thursday, November 11, 2021.
After that, Ghana host Bafana Bafana in the final group game at the Cape Coast stadium on Sunday, November 14, 2021.
The Black Stars are second in Group with 9 points – one point behind leaders South Africa and must win both matches to make it to the next stage of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.
