Asante Kotoko, Dreams FC, Premier League November 1, 2021
Asante Kotoko Boss, Dr. Prosper Nartey has labelled Abdul Fatawu Issahaku’s goal against his side as a contender for the goal of the season gong.
The Dreams FC forward made his debut in the Ghana Premier League for the Believers in the Premier League opener against the Reds and the highly-rated youngster announced himself to the Ghana Premier League fraternity with a worldie.
The AFCON U-20 winner picked up the ball a few metres away from the Kotoko penalty area and skipped past a forest of legs before demonstrating great composure to finish the effort beyond the on-rushing Razak Abalora.
The goal has received many plaudits from several connoiseurs of the game and Coach Prosper Nartey has added his voice to the clarion call labelling the goal as a contender for the Goal of the Season Award.
“Fatawu Issahaku’s goal is a very brilliant goal; contender for goal of the season. I think the players were scared to foul him and that gave him the advantage to score.” – Prosper Nartey said.
Kotoko rallied from a goal down to win the tie by 3-1 with goals from Mudasiru Salifu, Isaac Oppong and Richmond Lamptey.
