Highly-rated young forward, Isaac Oppong announced his presence in the Ghana Premier League in some style as the forward was involved in all of Kotoko’s three goals in their 3-1 victory of Dreams FC.
The 18-year-old who joined Kotoko in the off-season from Division Two side Bectero Sassana, is popularly referred to as “Sunyani Neymar” and he brought those traits to the fore as his trickery and pace were too hot to handle for the Dreams FC backline.
Oppong set up Mudasiru Salifu with a brilliant through ball and the midfielder finished off cooly to provide Kotoko with a much-deserved equalizer.
The forward then put Kotoko in the lead with a calm & composed finish as he controlled Patrick Asmah’s telling cross with his chest perfectly before volleying it into the roof of the net.
Oppong once again showed his skill set as he set up Richmond Lamptey for his first goal in Kotoko colors.
The 18-year-old only spent 16 minutes on the field of play and came up with 2 assists and a goal for himself on his debut with Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
Oppong had an impressive campaign in the Division Two last term where bagged 22 goals and made 11 assists in 17 games in the Sunyani Division Two Zone
