In-form Ghana Captain, Andre Ayew scored his sixth goal of the season for Al-Sadd SC as the Qatari giants defeated Umm Salal 3-1 in the Qatari Stars League.
Ayew, who switched to the Gulf region in the summer, has been in red hot form since his arrival and played a key role when Al-Sadd won their first piece of silverware this season last Friday.
In a game that didn’t take too long to burst into life, Umm Salal took the lead after just six minutes into the contest when Yaseen Al-Bakhit found the back of the net for the home side.
The home side’s lead will, however, just last for seven minutes as Al-Sadd SC drew level through Akram Afif in the 13th minute before taking control of the game and going ahead through former Arsenal playmaker Santi Carzola.
Andre Ayew joined the scoring party and got the third for Al Sadd in the second half to seal the comeback win for Al-Sadd.
The goal was Andre Ayew’s 6th goal this season since his arrival at the Qatari giants.
