Ghana Premier League new boys Accra Lions secure the 3rd spot of the maiden edition of the GFA Division One Super Cup following a 3-1 win again Division One side Samartex 1996.

The Accra based side were on unstoppable on the day taking the lead to through Christopher Acheampong.

Fatawu Hamidu doubled Lions lead with a world class finish before the break.

After the break, Samartex pulled one back through Ibrahim Giyasu on the 52nd minute.

The new Premier League side restored their two goal lead courtesy a lovely free kick from Fatawu Hamidu.

Accra Lions took home GHC 5,000 and Bronze Medal for finishing 3rd.

Tema Youth will face Skyy FC in the final at 3:00pm at the Madina Astro turf.
