President of Cheetah FC, Abdul Haye Yartey, has handed over eleven sets of boots to Accra Hearts of Oak after making a pledge to support the club with the equipment ahead of their CAF Champion League clash with WAC on Sunday.
The eleven set of boots were received by Hearts of Oak fitness trainer W.O. Tandoh and defender Caleb Amankwah at the Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday afternoon.
Yartey had pledged to support the Ghanaian champions with football shoes as they trek to play WAC of Morocco in the CAF Champions League.
The Phobians will take on the Moroccan champions on Sunday in the second leg of their CAF Champions League encounter in Casablanca.
Reports emerged indicated that the playing field of the Moroccan giants is very soft and a little rains will make playing difficult for the Phobians.
Haven’t suffered a similar fate on a slippery surface against Esperance in Tunisia in 2015, the Phobians are leaving no stone unturned as they consolidate their preparations for the encounter.
Following the reports of the slippery nature of the pitch in Morocco, Abdul Haye Yartey – president of Division Two side Cheetah FC pledged of donating the boots with studs for the Phobians.
“I’ll donate ten sets of boots with studs to Hearts of Oak as they prepare for the WAC game,” he told footballmadeinghana.com
Yartey has finally delivered his pledge and wished the Phobians victory in their game with the Moroccan giants as they face off on Sunday.
Hearts will depart Ghana on Thursday to Morocco to prepare for the clash which will be played over the weekend.
