Former Ghana International, Anthony Baffoe has called on Black Stars boss Milovan Rajevac to make his call-ups based on merit and not otherwise.
The Black Stars World Cup qualifying hopes were revamped after back-to-back wins over Zimbabwe in the just-ended series of Qualifiers and will have it all to do when the final round comes calling in November.
Milovan Rajevac has seen his second stint with the Black Stars get off to a fine start after overseeing two wins in his opening two games.
Baffoe who once played for the national team disclosed he believes the team has enough quality to make it to the World and implored Milovan Rajevac to invite players to the Black Stars based on merit.
“My advice for the new coach is to ensure he invites players who deserve to play for the team. Any player who gets the chance must earn the jersey,” former Fortuna Dusseldorf defender Baffoe told Graphic Sports.
“Any good coach can get the best out of whichever players he has at a particular point in time and that is what I expect from Milo.
“I don’t think we don’t have a team as people are saying. I believe it is rather a matter of what you can do with what you have.”
Milovan Rajevac will have the opportunity to announce his first Black Stars squad in his second spell when the November Internationals come around.
