Zimbabwe have received a huge boost ahead of Tuesday’s 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Ghana on home soil after star man Khama Billiat joined the team after serving a one-match ban.
The Kaizer Chiefs player was out of the Warriors’ squad during last Saturday’s 3-1 defeat in Cape Coast due to a yellow card related suspension.
Billiat’s return provides head coach Norman Mapeza with a flurry of attacking options to choose from as the Zimbabweans seek their first win in the 2022 World Cup Qualifiers at the National Sports Stadium in Harare.
The Warriors will however be without right-back Tendayi Darikwa who withdrew from the squad due to a family emergency.
Zimbabwe are currently bottom of Group G with just a point after three games and will be chasing their first win in the qualifying series when they welcome the Black Stars in Harare on Tuesday.
