Former Ghana International Prince Tagoe has offered some advice to Black Stars striker Jordan Ayew in his bid to aid the striker overcome his goal-scoring woes.
The 30-year-old has come under severe criticism following his recent goal drought for both club and country.
Ayew who scored just one goal in the 2020/2021 Premier League season hasn’t scored for the Eagles in over 33 games and his last goal for the Black Stars came in March 2021.
The Black Stars have struggled for goals in recent games thereby pilling the pressure on Jordan Ayew who is the nation’s recognized first choice striker.
Prince Tagoe, who once led the line for the Black Stars has offered some advice to the Crystal Palace forward and asked Jordan Ayew to concentrate on scoring other than creating opportunities for his teammates.
“I spoke to Jordan Ayew some years back and he took my advice and everybody knew what he did. He should have it in mind that if he doesn’t score in a game then he didn’t perform”, he told Happy FM.
“He should focus on scoring and not holding onto the ball for long. He shouldn’t drop deep but stay at the attacking areas and concentrate on scoring”.
Ayew is expected to lead the line when Ghana take on Zimbabwe on Friday in an 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Zimbabwe on October 9, 2021.
