Midfielder Mubarak Wakaso and Alfred Duncan are among the five players excused from the Black Stars squad ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Zimbabwe.

Others include Ismail Abdul Ganiyu, Tariqe Fosu Henry, and Emmanuel Gyasi.

Twenty Seven players will open camp on Tuesday morning to begin preparation for the game on Saturday.

Milovan Rajevac initially invited thirty two players for the game but will now have to do with twenty seven players after granting permission to five players to miss the two games.

The GFA announced the technical team’s decision to excuse them from the qualifiers but gave no reason.

The team is expected to travel to Cape Coast Tuesday afternoon – where they will train in the evening.
