Kofi Kordzi, this afternoon, marked his return to Hearts of Oak in style as he put his name among the goal scorers with a sensational strike in the Phobians’ victory over CI Kamsarin.
Kordzi returned to the Phobians following a failed spell with Qatar side Muaither Sports Club and did not take much time to announce his return to the club.
On the back of a domestic double last season, winning both the Premier League and the FA Cup, Accra Hearts of Oak faced Guinean side CI Kamsarin in a one off game at the Accra Sports Stadium.
With Guinea currently going through political instability, the Phobians were handed an advantage on home soil and they took it with both hands as they secured a 2-0 win.
Kordzi who made his second debut for the club off the bench netted the opener with a delightful free-kick which beat the Kamsar goalkeeper.
Accra Hearts of Oak have now qualified to the next stage of the competition.
