After weeks of non-stop, undiluted, nail-bitting football excitement interlaced with flawless and sweat-less artistry which has left spectators clamoring for more, the 2020-2021 Ashanti region Division Two League came to a successful conclusion on Sunday, September 12 2021.
The competition, which was organized under the auspices of the Ashanti Regional Football Association (ARFA) featured 56 clubs spread across seven zones.
Eight clubs, comprising seven clubs who finished at the apex of their respective groups plus the best runner-up played in the Middle League.
On this note, the father of association football in the Ashanti region, Mr Osei Tutu Agyeman affectionately called Kotoro extends his profound gratitude to all 56 participants in this year’s competition of which eights proceeded to the Middle League which eventually gave birth to the region’s sole ticket holder to Division One football i.e. Future Stars FC, who edged Asekem FC in the finals.
Additionally, the Ashanti Region Football Association (ARFA) is most grateful to officiating officials who distinguished themselves by upholding the tenets and sanctity of the sport.
While a special thanks goes to Kessben Media, Media 7 production AFA Sports channel for beaming the competition beyond the boundaries of the Garden city.
Not forgetting the good people of Ejisu who embraced the entire region in their domain while also providing the venue for the Middle League.
Finally, many thanks to every Tom, Dick and Harry who took time out of their busy schedule to watch all the games without you the competition would not have been this successful.
