PSL side Orlando Pirates have provided injury updates on Ghana goalkeeper Richard Ofori, disclosing that the goalkeeper will be out of their game against Chippa United this weekend.
Ofori missed Pirates’ clash with Baroka Swallows last Saturday in the PSL after suffering a thigh injury during the international break while playing for Ghana.
The Ghanaian shot stopper was replaced by Lawrence Ati Zigi in the second half when Ofori picked an injury in Ghana’s World Cup qualifier with the Bafana Bafana of South Africa.
Ofori will miss the second game of his club this weekend as reported by the club and may return in their game against Mamelodi Sundowns.
“Orlandopiratesfc.com can also confirm that Richard Ofori is expected to miss the DStv Premiership clash against Chippa United,” the club reported.
“The Ghanaian international, who suffered an injury while on international duty for the Black Stars, is still experiencing discomfort and pain on the site of injury,” Bucs confirmed.
Ofori has been the first choice for the Sea Robbers since joining from Maritzburg United.
