Ghana and Arsenal have been handed massive boost following the return of star player Thomas Partey to full scale training.
The 28-year-old was laid low during a pre-season outing against Chelsea and missed the start of the 2021-22 EPL campaign as well as Ghana’s 2022 World Cup qualifiers with Ethiopia and South Africa.
Partey did not feature for Arsenal in their recent behind-closed-doors friendly match against Brentford.
The 28-year-old Ghana international defensive midfielder has yet to play for Arsenal this season due to the ankle injury.
The midfielder trained with the entire Arsenal team in camp, and is likely to play for the Gunners in their clash with Norwich.
Partey had injury problems last season, but when fit and on form, the defensive midfielder was a force to be reckoned with.
The former Atletico Madrid star is one of the first names on the Arsenal team sheet when fit, and manager Mikel Arteta will know fully well how important he is to his side.
Partey is unlikely to start against Norwich, but him being fit enough to even be on the substitutes’ bench will be very encouraging for a side who have lost all three of their Premier League games and have conceded as many as nine goals.
