The matchday one of the Ashanti Regional Division Two middle League produced some excitement and upset at the Okese Park in Ejisu on Sunday.
In group A, Benab FC despite taking an early lead were shocked by Future Stars in the opening group game.
Future Stars came back from a goal down to hand Benab FC a 3-1 defeat.
The second game of the group saw Obuasi based MBC snatched a late win against Kumasi Sports Academy in a pulsating 3-2 encounter.
The other group game saw overwhelming favourite, Beposo based Asekem FC off to a flying start defeating unbeaten Pro Players by 3-0.
Whiles Jachie Youth FC also upset Ebony with a 2-1 win in the last game of the day.
The second game of the mini tournament will continue on Tuesday at the same venue as fight for the Division One ticket heats up in the Ashanti Region.
