Crystal Palace winger Jeffery Schlupp has been forced off his country’s clash with Ethiopia in the 2022 World Cup Qualifier due to injury.
The hardworking midfielder was pulled out on the 28th minute for new boy Daniel-Kofi Kyere.
The injury isn’t pleasant news for the Patrick Viera’s side as Schlupp is making an injury return in recent times after being laid off for some time.
Jeffrey Schlupp picked a hamstring injury in January when Crystal Palace played Sheffield United in the Premier League and was for laid off for at least three months.
The extent of the injury is yet to be known but to be forced off from an important World Cup qualifier for Ghana against Ethiopia speaks volumes.
Schlupp who started the match in an attacking role which is unusual when he plays for Ghana suffered a hamstring injury.
The 28-year-old fell to the ground in the 27th minute without anyone tackling him and signaled to head coach Charles Akonnor to replace him.
Schlupp is already out of South Africa game in Johannesburg due to UK COVID-19 restrictions so must now focus on returning to action soon.
