Hearts of Oak captain Fatwu Mohammed and Great Olympics defender Samuel Ashie-Quaye have been handed late call-ups to the Black Stars ahead of Friday’s World Cup qualifier opener against Ethiopia.
The duo’s call-up were necessitated as a result of the unavailability of both Brentford Winger Tarique Fosu and defender Benson Annang.
The announcement was made via the FA’s official Twitter handle

Both players enjoyed steller campaigns with their respective clubs in the Ghana Premier League, with Fatawu Mohammed helping Hearts win the league and FA Cup double whereas Ashie-Quaye was part of the Black Satellites team that won the Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.
