German-based Ghanaian footballer Braydon Manu has been handed his maiden senior national football team call-up by Coach Charles Akonnor ahead of upcoming Fifa World Cup qualifiers, FMIG can confirm.
The 24-year-old winger has proved highly efficient in the German Bundesliga 2 for SV Darmstadt 98, scoring a goal in fairly few minutes of game time enjoyed. His prolific nature will come in handy to a Black Stars team lacking in terms of goals in recent times.
For his productivity, the German-born Ghanaian has been handed a late invite to the Black Stars squad ahead of next month’s qualifying matches against Ethiopia and South Africa.
His inclusion is expected to increase competition in the attacking department of the Black Stars team that has found goal scoring a bane in recent times.
Ghana will face Ethiopia on September 3, and South Africa on September 6 in Group G of the first phase of the qualification process
