German-based Daniel-Kofi Kyereh has been handed a late call-up into the senior national football team ahead of the upcoming Fifa World Cup qualifiers.
The 25-year-old St. Pauli attacking midfielder has been a standout for his side this season in the German Bundesliga 2. In 4 appearances, Kofi Kyereh has netted once while assisting another goal in his side’s quest to qualify for the German top flight next season.
For his performances, the German-born Ghanaian has been handed his maiden invite to the Black Stars squad ahead of next month’s qualifying matches against Ethiopia and South Africa.
Daniel-Kofi Kyereh is primarily an attacking midfielder who can also function as a left-winger and a center forward. His inclusion is expected to increase competition in the attacking department of the Black Stars team that has found goal scoring a bane in recent times.
