Abdul Baba Rahman extended his Chelsea contract until 2024 before joining Championship side Reading on loan in the ongoing transfer window.
The Ghanaian international moved to the Championship outfit for the remainder of the 2021/22 campaign after passing a medical on Friday and signing the relevant paperwork.
The left back has represented the Blues in the Premier League and Champions League, as well as bringing with him top-flight experience in Germany, France, Spain and Greece.
The 27 year initially joined Chelsea from Augsburg on a five-year deal in the 2015-16 campaign.
However his limited game time forced him out on loan to Schalke 04 the following season, leading to subsequent spells away with Stade Reims, Real Mallorca and most recently PAOK, where he spent the second half of last season.
The former Dreams FC Star now hopes to rediscover his best form as he embarks on a new challenge in Berkshire as a Royal.
