The Ghana Football Association and the Crime Investigation Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service have begun investigations into the Match Day 34 fixture between Ashantigold and Inter Allies ending 7-0 with Allie’s Hasmin Musah coming from the bench to net two own goals.
According to Atta, the issue of betting scandal in the Ghanaian blocked his move to a top Africa club.
“Getting to the end of the season, i had an offer from a top African club.
We started talking but they later called off the deal.
Initially, i didn’t understand but later the club explained that because of the betting and match fixing issues that happened in the Ghana League, they don’t trust the league.
That issue was the reason the deal was called off”, he said.
