The Black Queens are scheduled to participate in the upcoming Aisha Buhari Invitational Women’s Tournament to be held in Lagos, Nigeria.
The maiden edition of the competition is scheduled to take place from 13th – 21st September 2021 with six top African teams in the women’s game competing for the ultimate prize.
Ghana have been paired in Group B alongside South Africa’s Banyana Banyana and Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon.
While Group A includes host nation and Nine-time African champions, Super Falcons, Mali and Morocco.
This was confirmed during the draw at the Australian Hall, Eko Hotels on Wednesday.
Dubbed ‘Playing for Good’, the highly anticipated six nations tournament is been organized in honour of the First Lady of Nigeria, Dr. Aisha Buhari in conjunction with the Aisha Buhari Foundation and also to build and sustain positive narratives about Women football on the continent.
The tournament will also be used by all participating teams to prepare for the pending Africa Women’s Cup of Nations qualifiers.
