Ghana Legend and Former Black Stars Captain, Asamoah has confessed his fondest memories of the African Cup of Nations were made during the 2010 edition of the tournament held in Angola.
Asamoah Gyan who was named in the Team of the tournament after the completion of the tournament said he had his best experience of the AFCON during the 2010 edition.
Ghana was drawn in Group B alongside neighbors Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso & Togo but Togo withdrew from the tournament after the Team was attacked en route to the tournament.
The Black Stars enjoyed a very good tournament which saw them make it to the final only to narrowly lose out on the crown to record winners Egypt.
Gyan who scored three goals in that tournament confessed his fondest memories of the AFCON was during the 2010 edition and described it as his best tournament.
“I think my best memory was in Angola. Personally, I had a great tournament, and it was the best year in my career too.” – Gyan said.
“I remember Angola very well” – Gyan added.
