Ghana Legend and Black Stars’ all-time top scorer, Asamoah Gyan has labeled Ghana’s group at the 2021Total Energies AFCON as a tricky one.

The Black Stars have been drawn in Group C alongside Morocco, Gabon, and debutants Comoros for next year’s showpiece.

Ghana who will be looking to end their 40-year wait will have to navigate past their opponents in the group stages and secure a place in the knockout stages to keep their dreams alive.

Former Black Stars Captain, Asamoah Gyan who has represented Ghana in 7 previous AFCON editions, thinks the Black Stars’ group is a tricky one.

“I think it’s a tricky group. Morocco is up there, I think they conceded just one goal in the qualifiers which statistically is one of the strongest in the group” – Gyan told CAF.

“Ghana is also up there, but everyone who has qualified for the African Cup of Nations is there to win it.”

“Statistically, we’re up there but we don’t know what’s going to happen. We just have to stay focus and do what we can do to qualify from this group.” – Gyan further added.
