Double-winning Accra Hearts of Oak Coach, Samuel Boadu has extolled his players, indicating that he admires their submissive and respective attitude towards authority.
Speaking in an exclusive interview on Silver FM’s SportsCenter show, the young gaffer was of the view that players exhibiting respectful behavior strengthens the relationship between Coach and players which eventually creates a good atmosphere for progress at the club.
In the interview, Samuel Boadu said “Hearts of Oak players respect a lot, they are obedient and they listen to instructions intently without interjecting”
‘’Despite the level these players have gotten to in football, Hearts of Oak players are humble and always ready to listen to instructions to reach the mark … Without respect one cannot reach there’’
“They are eager to learn and ready to go far’’
The former Medeama SC Coach further explained that tactics and techniques in football help but a healthy relationship between Coach and players motivates players to deliver with no fear of reprimand.
Boadu Hearts of Oak to complete this season’s domestic double; winning the Ghana Premier League (GPL) and topping it up by defeating Ashanti Gold SC 8-7 on penalties to lift the MTN FA Cup last Sunday.
Hearts of Oak have now achieved the double for an unprecedented 6th time; 1973,1979, 1989/90, 1999, 2000, 2020/21.
The victory means the 2000 CAF Champions League winner will be making a return to Africa’s most prestigious club competition for the first time in a decade.
