Swedish third tier side FC Trollhättan have announced the signing of Ghanaians forward Fatawu Safiu on transfer deadline day.
The attacker has signed a two-half year deal with the club following a fruitful negotiation with his club Trelleborgs.
On “Deadline Day”, we have the pleasure to inform about the signing of a forward – Fatawu Safiu .
Fatawu Safiu comes from Ghana, is 27 years old and we have recruited him from Trelleborgs FF in the Superettan where he played 12 matches in the spring. The squad that reached the top of the table in the spring has now been further strengthened and the competition in each place has increased. We see this as a great competitive advantage over other top competitors as injuries and suspensions will always disturb teams with narrow troops during the autumns.
Sports director William Lundin lauded the signing of the Ghanaian attacker.
“The loan of Markus Johansson opened up to bring in a new forward and after scouting and talks with Fatawu, we are very happy to be able to present him as an FCT player for the next two and a half years. It is a strong and fast forward who will lead the squad further before the autumn. ”
We welcome Fatawu who is hopefully ready to play already for the home match on Sunday against Tvååkers IF starting at 16.00.
Fatawu has previously featured for Portland Timbers 2, Whitecaps and Vimmerby.
Domestically he has featured for Eleven Wonders, Inter Allies and Asante Kotoko.
