Hearts of Oak will begin the defense of their crown as Ghana Premier League Champions on the final weekend of October following the approval of the plans for the 2021-22 football season by the GFA Executive Council.

The 2021/22 Ghana Premier League is set to kick off on the weekend of Friday, October 29 to Monday, November 1, 2021, across all the nine Premier League centers.

The new season will welcome three new entrants Real Tamale United FC, Bibiani Gold Stars SC, and Accra Lions FC, all from the Division 1 league.

The season will run through till Sunday, June 19, 2022, where the Champions of the 2021/2022 Season will be crowned.
