The President of the Ghana Football Association Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku could not hide his excitement following Hasaacas Ladies’ successful clinching of the WAFU Zone B Women’s Cup.
He has since extended his heartfelt felicitations to Hasaacas Ladies FC for winning the maiden of the tournament that will served as a qualification ground for the upcoming TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Champions League.
The Ghanaian champions on Thursday defeated Rivers Angels FC from Nigeria 3-1 in the final to lift the title following a stellar performance in Cote D’Ivoire.
Kurt, who doubles as the WAFU Zone B President, swiftly congratulated the team for their incredible performance and urged them to make Ghana prouder when they go to the Champions League in Egypt.

‘’I am sure there were doubts after the first loss in the tournament but some of us believed in the process and encouraged you not to drop your head and in the end it paid off.
‘’It feels great to witness this unbelievable achievement here in Ivory Coast. You worked very hard for it and deserve the plaudit.
‘’Winning the tournament clearly means you are deserving champions of our Women’s Premier League, because it takes hard work, desire, hunger and quality to win championships like this.

Following the victory, Hasaacas Ladies have completed a treble by winning the Ghana Women’s Premier League and the Women’s FA Cup in June this year.
The Sekondi-based side has also secured a slot at the maiden TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Champions League scheduled for Egypt in November 2021.
