Hasaacas Ladies defeated Rivers Angels of Nigeria 3-1 to lift WAFU Zone B Women’s Champions League on Thursday.
Goals from Veronica Appiah, Perpetual Agyakum and Azunah Abugre gave the Doo Ladies a resounding victory in Ivory Coast.
Veronica Appiah opened the scoring in the 1st minute before Vivian Ikechukwu leveled for the Nigerians.
Perpetual Agyekum restored Hasmal Ladies’ lead in the 42nd minute with a powerful free kick.
After the break, Azuma Bugre put the icing on the cake for the Sekondi-based club to put the game beyond the rich of the Nigerians.
The result caps a dream season for Hasaacas Ladies and means the ‘Dooos’ become the first female club to win treble in West Africa and in Ghana.
Meanwhile, the two sides have already booked their ticket in the maiden edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League which will be held in Egypt.
