Techiman Eleven Wonders midfielder, Jafar Abdul Razak says the team struggle at some point in the season was due to monetary issues.
The ‘Sure Wonder’ outfit after that impressive start of the season, picking four points against Kotoko and Ebusua Dwarfs, couldn’t held on and finished 12th with 42 points at the end of the season.
In an interview with Zuria FM in Kumasi, Razak who joined Wonders from Division two side Benab FC highlighted on his debut season in the topflight commending Tetteh Nortey for making his first season a good one without facing much difficulties.
“Arriving at Eleven Wonders very young and to meet experience players like Tetteh Nortey and others was never easy but i impressed the management of the club after just three days with them.”
“We started the season very well but dropped in form at a point mainly due to monetary issues.”
“I had lots of people at the club that were always encouraging me especially Tetteh Nortey who was always telling me to keep working hard. His words really helped me in my first season with them.”
The 18 year old made 10 appearances in his first season playing 9 games in the league and just a game in the MTN FA Cup.
