Former Asante Kotoko defender Godfred Yeboah has been confirmed dead on Tuesday morning.
Yeboah passed on after battling ailment for the past months.
The former skipper of Asante Kotoko died at age 41.
Yeboah was a member of the Asante Kotoko squad that clinched the Ghana Premier League title in 2003 to end the club’s ten-year trophy drought.
Yeboah also had four caps for the senior national team of Ghana including a 2006 World Cup qualifier against DR Congo.
He featured for Asante Kotoko from 2001 to 2009 and holds a legendary status at the Ghanaian giants.
