Ghanaian midfielder Majeed Ashmeru has settled heightened concerns over his consistent neglect in the Ghana national team – The Black Stars – insisting it’s not compulsory to be in the national team.
He believes head coach CK Akonnor has what it takes to identify the right players for the national team and must be allowed to make his own choices.
The 23-year old added that at the right time, he is convinced he will have the chance to play for the national team.
Joining Anderlecht on a permanent move from RB Salzburg, the former WAFA skipper has disclosed that the Jupiler League is the right destination and hopes to hit the roof when the season starts.
Haven’t played with Dortmund striker Erling Haaland, Ashmeru reveals their long standing relationship, how they keep in touch and the possible destination for the Norwegian as he becomes a subject of major transfer in Europe.
