Ghana’s duo Montari Kamaheni and Abdul Mugeese Zakaria were in action for Ashdod as they suffered elimination in the UEFA Europa Conference League at home on Thursday.

The duo started and lasted the entire duration of the game but failed to prevent their club from suffering a painful defeat in the hands of Qarabag.

A 6th minute strike in the hands of Filip Ozobic was enough to hand the visitors a precious win at the Yud-Alef Stadium.

Ashdod after holding the Azerbaijani side to a scoreless draw in the first leg were confident of getting the win infront of their home fans, but an early goal from the visitors ended their European dream.

Montari Kamaheni as well as Mugeese Zakaria were impressive on the day despite their team defeat on the day.

The former Dreams FC duo will now shift their attention.
