RB Leipzig Striker Brian Brobbey has admitted he knew very little about his new manager Jesse Marsch and thus had to google about him to get to know who he was.
Brobbey who had an agreement to join Leipzig in March was expecting to play under the then Leipzig Coach Julian Naglesmann before the German left the club to join Bayern.
Former RB Salzburg Coach, Jesse Marsch was later on appointed as Naglesmann’s replacement and Brobbey admitted he needed to check him up on the internet to know who he was.
“When it was clear that Jesse was going to be the new coach, I first checked the internet!” Brobbey told Bild.
“I wanted to know how he played and I saw his speech from the game with Salzburg in Liverpool.”
“It was a little strange for me because [Nagelsmann] said he was staying. But I had a good conversation with Jesse and he’s a very good coach. Now we speak almost every day. I’m glad I’m here” – he added.
