Head coach of Hasaacas Ladies, Yusif Basigi is confident of qualifying his ladies to the semi finals of the maiden CAF Women’s Champions league despite the defeat in their opening game.
The Ghana Women’s Premier League champions suffered a 2-0 defeat against River Angels on Saturday at Stade Robert de Champroux in Ivory Coast which leave them with no other options than to win their last group game on Friday.
Speaking to the media after the game, the coach despite the defeat remains confident of securing a place in the last four of the competition.
“It is our intention to qualify for the next stage so by all means we must win [the next game], it’s a must win for us in the next game which will see us to the semi finals.
“Our mind is to win the next game because we came in to win this one [against Rivers Angels] but very unfortunately we couldn’t.
“We have a very big match at stake in order to win to advance to the next stage.
“I know it’s going to be tough, we are not underestimating any club because any club because all the clubs that are here are good, they are the champions of their various countries, that’s why we’ve all merged here so we are not ruling them out that they are not good.
“And this is our determination, we are going all out to win in order to advance to the next stage, that is our mindset.” Yusif Basigi said.
Hasaacas Ladies will play AS Police de Niamey in their next game on Friday, July 30, 2021 hoping to secure a win that will help them secure a semifinal place spot should River Angels beat AS Police on 27th July, 2021.
