Ashanti Gold SC have denied claims their fixture against Inter Allies FC was involved in a match-fixing scheme for gains from betting.

Ashgold thumped Inter Allies by 7-0 with defender Hashmin Musah netting two own goals.

Highlights from the game have drawn lots of criticisms and allegations that the game was fixed.

Ashgold have however denied such claims, with the management of the club citing the result was purely down to the hard work of the players and the technical team.

The GFA have commenced investigations into happenings at the Len Clay Stadium and have also reported the matter to the Criminal Investigations Department of the Ghana Police Service.
