Aduana Stars and Karela United will hope to sign off the 2020/2021 season with positive results when both teams meet each other on the final game week of the Ghana Premier League season.
For the home side, it has been a difficult campaign having to negotiate most parts of the season without top scorer and talismanic striker Yahaya Mohammed who picked up an injury during the course of the season.
The Ogya lads however managed to recover from that setback and have gone on to record some impressive results which has resulted in the Ogya lads being placed 4th on the GPL League log.
Aduana will be looking to cement their hold on 4th position on the league log with victory against Karela when the two meet on Sunday.
For Karela United, after a bright start to the season and spending some days at the top of the league table, a string of poor results saw their title charge fizzle out, and are currently placed 8th on the league table.
It has however been a season to remember for lead marksman Diawise Taylor who has already notched in 18 goals this season and looks set to win the top scorer gong.
As captain of the Ayinase-based club, Taylor together with his colleagues would, however, wish to finish the season on a high with victory at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park on Sunday to secure the best finish in the league since being promoted to the topflight.
Karela United came up as victors when both sides met in the reverse fixture with Taylor’s brace being the difference between the two teams.
The matchday 34 encounter between Aduana Stars and Karela United is scheduled for Sunday 18th July 2021 with kick-off set at 15;00 GMT at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park.
