Asante Kotoko stalwart defender Ismail Ganiyu has emerged as a priority transfer target for Accra Hearts Of Oak.
The newly crowned Ghana Premier League champions are already preparing for next season where they will aim to defend the league title while also competing in the CAF Champions League.
In a bid to improve the quality in the current setup, the Hearts of Oak hierarchy has teamed up with the technical team headed by Coach Samuel Boadu to identify players to fortify the various departments in the team.
Among the list of players on their radar, Asante Kotoko’s Abdul Ismail Ganiyu belongs to the must haves. The former Karela United center back has been in sensational form for the Porcupine Warriors. His performances has earned him invites to the senior national football team where he mad ehis debut just this year.
Already with an experience in the CAF club competitions under his belt, Hearts of Oak see the addition of Ganiyu as a major upgrade on their current defense.
The player’s contract runs out at the end of the season, and should they okay their cards well, Hearts are likely to sign him for free.
