Accra Hearts of Oak Head Coach Samuel Boadu is confident the club is entering the CAF Champions League next season not to just make up the numbers.
The young gaffer believes his current setup has the needed qualities to compete fairly in Africa’s elite club competition and make a mark.
The Phobians have earned the sole ticket to play in the CAF Champions Legaue by virtue of winning the Ghana Premier League. Boadu masterminded this huge success for the club despite spending barely 6 months at the helm.
It is the club’s first major trophy in over a decade and the triumph has brought much hope from the various stakeholders.
As preparations continue towards finishing the ongoing season on a high and ready for the Africa Adventure, some connoisseurs have expressed fear that the Ghanaian champions will fail to hit the mark when the time comes.
However, Samuel Boadu disagrees as he insists his side is capable of making the needed impact; urging fans to rally support behind the team
“Hearts will do well, we will fare very well. All we need is their (supporters) support and the belief that we shall make them proud. No one goes to war to get defeated. Hearts will not disgrace the family or Ghanaians,” he said.
“On the field of play we have equally good players. The Hearts of Oak players can also do well and make a name for themselves,” Samuel Boadu concluded.
