Ajax look set to miss out on Ghana and Nordsjaelland whiz kid Kamaldeen Sulemana with the attacker reportedly now heading to France to join Stade Rennais.

The Dutch champions appeared to be in driving seat to sign the attacker this summer until the Ligue side tabled an irresistible offer for the 19-year-old.

The exact details of the deal is not yet known but an official confirmation is expected anytime soon.

Kamaldeen arrived in Rennes on Thursday ahead of his medical check-up tomorrow.

He became a big topic of transfer discussions after a fine season with Nordsjaelland in the Danish elite division.

The winger registered 14 goal contributions last season as he scored 10 and set his teammates on four occasions.
