Asante Kotoko board member Kwadwo Boateng Genfi has congratulated Accra Hearts of Oak on their Legaue title win.
The Phobians have clinched the 2020-21 Ghana Premier League title with a game to spare. Hearts claimed their first league title since 2009 after fending off stuff competition from their arch rivals Asante Kotoko.
Actually, it was Asante Kotoko who were toppled by Hearts in the title race after the former ended the first round of the season on top.
For their feat, several congratulatory messages have been delivered from some clubs and football administrators. Absent from these chorus of congratulations was that of Asante Kotoko.
However, in an interview with Peace FM, Mr Boateng Genfi who speaks for the Asante Kotoko board conveyed well done messages to the Phobians.
“I would like to use this opportunity to congratulate Accra Hearts of Oak for winning the league,” Mr Boateng Genfi told Peace FM.
Hearts of Oak will play their final league game on Saturday against WAFA.
