Ghanaian winger Joseph Paintsil was on target for KRC Genk in their 1-1 stalemate with Groningen in a friendly on Saturday afternoon.
Paintsil came on from the bench on the 46th minute and proved a vital asset for John Van Den Brom’s side.
The Ghanaian stole the show with his blistering pace on the flanks and came close to fetching the match winner but was denied by the post.
The former Tema Youth winger registered his side’s only goal in the 65th minute after Dee Leeuw gave Gronigen an early lead in the 26th minute.
Paintsil, 23, has since scored twice in two games for his side in their pre-season campaign.
He was also on target in their 8-1 pre-season win over lower-tier side Endracht Termien last Saturday.
Paintsil spent last season on loan at Turkish side Ankaragucu but looks set for a great season with Genk this time.
