Thanks to goals by Doris Boaduwaa and Milot Pokuwaa, Hasaacas Ladies have secured a double over last season’s northern zone Champions Ampem Darkoa Ladies.
The Doo Ladies thrashed Ampem Darkoa Ladies in the finals of the Women’s Premier League last week for their 4th championship and have now defeated them in the Women’s FA Cup finals.
The goal margin for last week was halved, with 2 goals being enough for Hasaacas Ladies to win this season’s competition.
Doris Boaduwaa who netted twice in last week’s victory was again on the scoresheet as she gave Yusif Basigi’s side the opening goal in the 25th minute.
The lead was then doubled before the break when Milot Pokuaa scored in the 44th minute for Hasaacas Ladies.
For the second week running, Ampem Darkoa Ladies were unable to pose any major threat as the likes of Sonia Opoku and Ophelia were played out by Hasaacas Ladies in the game.
The victory in the Women’s FA Cup means that Hasaacas Ladies have now secured a historic double and are now the first women’s football club in the country to win two trophies within a season.
