Hearts Coach Samuel Boadu has downplayed the champions tag being given to Hearts of Oak after opening a three-point lead at the top of 2020/21 Ghana Premier League table.
The Phobians pulled clear of the chasing pack after beating their closest rivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko by 1-0 in Sunday’s eagerly contested Super Clash.
Daniel Barnieh’s solitary strike in the 67th minute was enough to hand the Rainbow boys victory and give them an edge in the title race.
However, Coach Samuel Boadu insists although the Phobians can boast of a three-point lead at the summit of the table with three matches to conclude the season, Hearts are not Champions yet.
”It is not going to be easy at all. We do respect all the Premier League clubs that we take match after match,” Boadu told StarTimes in his post-match speech.
”We have finished with this match and the subsequent matches, we take it one by one.
”Not yet we have to fight hard to get all the three matches (nine points).
”I can say that we are course but we need to work extra and win the next match against [Ebusua] Dwarfs.”
