Hearts of Oak Coach Samuel Boadu is optimistic his side will carry the day when they face Asante Kotoko on Sunday.
The two giants collide in the match week 30 Ghana Premier League clash at the Accra Sports Stadium stadium with the league title on the line.
Hearts currently top the table (on 56 points, same as Kotoko) by virtue of a superior goal difference.
Since the head to head rule applies to decide final league positions, the result from Sunday’s game will matter a lot to both sides.
A win for either side will hand them the advantage while a score draw will favor Asante Kotoko. Amid the permutations and the heightened buildup to the game, both sides have been eagerly preparing for the big one.
Speaking in the aftermath of his side’s hard fought 2-1 victory over Legon Cities, Coach Samuel Boadu praised his boys for helping to ensure the result.
“It’s very fantastic, the spectators can witness the fact that Hearts Of Oak we have a good team. We have the players who listen to instructions tactically, mentally and physically. They’re really good and I love the boys so much,” he said.
The gaffer went further to urge Hearts of Oak fans to pour out in their numbers on Sunday to early support behind the team.
The former Medeama SC Head Coach confidently declared that Hearts will nail Asante Kotoko to the coffin when they face-off.
“What I need from them is they should come in their numbers and support the team. We are going to deliver. They shouldn’t worry at all,” he said.
“We need the three points. We don’t have problem with Kotoko, we have problem with the three points,” Coach Boadu concluded.
