Former Hearts of Oak player Charles Taylor has cautioned English-born Callum Hudson-Odoi to reject any attempts by the FA to switch nationality and play for Ghana.
Reports over a potential international career switch have been rife following Hudson-Odoi’s arrival in Ghana a few weeks ago.
The rumours were fueled to their highest maximum after the Champions League winner had meetings with President, Nana Akufo-Addo in the presence of Sports Minister Mustapha Ussif and FA Capo Kurt Okraku, where the leader of the nation charged all stakeholders involved to persuade the 20-year-old to switch allegiance.
Taylor who represented Ghana at the international level has, however, cautioned the Chelsea winger not to Switch allegiance but focus on his career and fight for a place in the squad of The Three Lions.
“If Odoi is listening to me, I will advise him not to think of playing for the Black Stars” – Taylor told Angel TV.
“He should continue playing for England even if it is under 100, he should play for them than play for the Black Stars. Ghana will end his career,” – Taylor further disclosed.
