Hearts of Oak cruised to a convincing 4-1 win over Windy Professionals in Round 32 of the MTN FA Cup on Sunday.
After a largely disappointing opening 45 minutes at the Accra Sports Stadium, the 10-time champions turned on the style in the second half to breeze past the lower-tier side.
The Phobians took the lead in the 50th minute through Barnieh Afriyie who connected with a cross from his strike-partner Obeng Jnr.
Four minutes later, Emmanuel Nettey calmly guided the ball into the net to double their lead after a brilliant assist from fatawu Mohammed.
Windy Professionals responded quickly by reducing the deficit through Frank Okai.
However Benjamin Afutu restored Hearts of Oak’s two-goal cushion in the 69th minute before substitute Abdul Manaf Umar registered his name on the scoresheet to make it 4-1.
The win takes Coach Samuel Boadu’s side to the Round of 16 of the competition.
