Ghana’s U-23 side will be presented a new opportunity to impress and redeem their battered image when they face South Korea in a friendly encounter on Saturday.

The two sides meet for the first time as part of an arranged two way friendly engagement.

The game with South Korea’s Under-24 side takes place at 10:00am GMT at the Jeju World Cup Stadium.

The Black Meteors enter the game on the back of some heavy pummelling by Japan’s U-24 side. In two gamesx the Asian side ruthlessly put 10 unanswered goals past Ghana, a result that shocked many.

Japan, used the two games to help in their preparations towards the upcoming Olympic Games Men’s Football event, and it’s for same reason that Koreans are laying the Black Meteors.

Ghana Coach Paa Kwesi Fabin will demand an improved display from his boys after the output against Japan drew much ire from Ghanaian football followers.

The former Aduana Stars gaffer is also expected to ring in some few changes in his starting lineup in a bid to inspire some improved performance from the team.

The two sides will square off again on June 15 in another friendly match which will be played behind closed doors at the same venue at 11am GMT.
