The Black Stars were held to 0-0 draw against Ivory Coast in an international friendly game on Saturday at the Cape Coast Stadium.
Ghana despite putting up an improve performance couldn’t break the Ivorian defense as the two side shared the spoils.
CK Akonnor made five changes to the team that started against Morroco on Tuesday.
Andre Ayew, Thomas Partey, Baba Rahman, Emmanuel Gyasi and Lawrence Ati Zigi were handed start as Ghana went all out to make amends.
It was Ghana who had the first chance of the game but Kudus Mohammed effort was blocked by Eric Bailey..
The visitors also had their first chance few minutes m later but Haller’s header was saved by Lawrence Ati Zigi.
Sangare had a golden opportunity to break the the deadlock for Ivory Coast after he was put through on goal by Haller, but his final effort missed the target.
Thomas Partey tested Sylvian Gbohou with a shot infront of the penalty box but his efforts was dealt in by the goalkeeper.
Both side’s kept it tight untill the Black of the first half of whistle.
After the recess, the Black Stars kept pushing for the opener but the visitors kept it tight at the back.
Jordan Ayew came close but his efforts was blocked by Sergie Aurier.
Both team’s created a lot of opportunities in the second half but couldn’t find the back of the net.
Lawrence Ati Zigi made a wonderful save late in the game to deny Max Gradel from a free Kick.
The game ended goaless as the two side’s shared the spoils at the Cape Coast Stadium.
